Paradise Found: Key West Itinerary
December 6 - 13, 2010
DAY ONE: December 6
Arrive
at Key West International Airport, welcome to Paradise! You will
be met by your Clean Getaway Travel Representative and transferred to
your home for the next 7 days. The Southernmost Mansion sits right on the
Atlantic Ocean and is one of the most exquisite examples of Victorian architecture
in the whole country. Settle in and get ready for a welcome reception
tonight with a poolside Caribbean buffet and island entertainment.
Relax, unwind, hear exciting details of the adventures to come and get
to know your fellow travelers and hosts.
DAY TWO: December 7
After
breakfast there will be a morning meeting poolside for those who choose
to attend. Then we'll gather together and hop aboard the Old
Town
Trolley for a fascinating tour of old town Key West. You'll learn
almost all there is to know about this colorful island, brush up on
your history and hear some amusing anecdotes that are guaranteed to
peak your interest. All while enjoying Key West's exotic flora & fauna and
quaint architecture. On to a custom bike fitting at Island Bicycles,
work the kinks out, and enjoy lunch at your leisure. Tonight we
head down to Mallory Square for the world famous Sunset Celebration
... complete with jugglers, pirates, escape artists; you never know
who'll turn up for your entertainment! Tonight we dine as a group
at a quaint local restaurant.
DAY THREE: December 8
This morning we get a new perspective on this island paradise when we take an exhilarating jet ski tour around Key West! Dry off and join us for an exclusive Caribbean cooking class with top chef John Correa from Café Sole. First we shop, then we chop, then we learn, then we cook, and then we EAT! A rare opportunity indeed. Rest up, take a swim, or enjoy some world class shopping. Tonight we invite you to join us a meeting at the local clubhouse. Enjoy dinner on your own, ask us for suggestions.
DAY FOUR: December 9
We
start with our optional morning meeting, then take a stroll to another world as
we enter the Butterfly Conservatory. Learn all about our
islands flying residents with rare butterflies and birds, it's a
tropical wonderland, sure to delight one and all. Afterward,
we will have a unique opportunity to help out our feathered
friends. We've secured a private tour of the Key West Wildlife
Center! We'll take a nature walk, and then get our hands dirty,
volunteering with things that need doing around the sanctuary,
including some personal interaction with the birds! If it feels
good, do it! Check them out at

West Wildlife Center. Relax
poolside, hit the beach, the afternoon is yours. Tonight,
after dining together in another local favorite, we wait for
sundown. As darkness falls, we visit some "haunts" and join
some shadowy characters on the Key West Ghost Tour ... not for the
fainthearted, we might even see a ghost!
DAY FIVE: December 10
Get ready for action! We are heading out to sea on a state-of-the-art catamaran with Fury Water Adventures. Sail out to the reef for a relaxing snorkeling and sailing experience. See our reef up close and personal, make friends with some fish and enjoy the beautiful clear waters of the Florida Keys. You will have the rest of the day to relax like a local "island style." We will be happy to arrange any optional excursion your heart desires, at the special rates negotiated just for our group. You are welcome to join us at a meeting at the local clubhouse. Enjoy dinner on your own.
DAY SIX: December 11
Morning meeting? If you'd like to join us, of course. Spend some time today exploring, maybe a bike ride through Key West's winding streets checking out the unique Conch houses. Get ready for dinner with the group at yet another top-rated local restaurant. Then, boys will be girls, and you will not believe your eyes when we take in an extraordinary show by some of Key West's finest female impersonators.
DAY SEVEN: December 12
Take some time this morning to catch up on your souvenir shopping. Join us for a noon meeting if you like, visit one of your favorite lunch spots and get ready for tall ships and tapas! We have chartered one of the Conch Republic's finest schooners for our farewell sunset cruise. We will enjoy a delicious four-course tapas dinner as we head out to sea with live music to sail by. Bask in the glow of the sunset and new found friends. Fellowship in paradise ... and life is good.
DAY EIGHT: December 13
You are invited to a morning meeting and transferred to Key West International for your flight home with a full heart and memories to last a lifetime!

100 percent of all trip payments will be refunded to tour participants in the event of any oil related closure of Key West beaches. While, thankfully, it doesn't look like we will be immediately affected by this, we want you to book your trip with peace of mind. Our hearts go out to those in other areas who have not been as fortunate.
